Don't stop, knit it! knit it!

So, I have to say... I have a wee bit 'o the gifters paranoia at the moment. I'm hauling tail to get the momma sockey socks done for "she who gave me the sacred gift of life" for Christmas . As I get closer to the finish line I get even more paranoid that the doggone things won't fit her. Even though all of my measurements tell me that they will be fine...

I have this sort of freakish tendency. Its just like back in the day in art school where I would spend weeks working on a project, only to decide it wasn't good enough at the last minute and try to pull something else that was new and even more magnificent out of my bum to replace it in lest than 24 hours. Not a good plan. So, at the moment, I'm trying to tell myself, that I did everything a good knitter can do without the foot in front of me...

Maybe its all due to the fact that I have gargantuan orangutan feet...I mean, I can actually write with them-it ain't pretty, but it works in a pinch. Hey...maybe I should try to teach myself to knit with my feet.... fun times at the yarn store *lol) ...anyway...Don't tell me that you aren't considering how foot knitting would work right now. You can't fool me.

Um yeah, back to my original derailed train of thought...So when I knit socks that fit tiny little Cinderella tootsies I don't know what to do. It just seems so tiny and wrong.

must....fight....the...urge...to..knit a billion more pairs of socks in alternate sizes close to the momma sockeys just so one will fit!

Must believe that they will fit!

Must fight urge to wait until the woman falls into a turkey and stuffing induced food coma on Thanksgiving and sneak them on her feet when she is unawares! No good can come if it.

If I don't catch you all again before Turkey day, Gobble Gobble y'all! Make it a good one.
