Getting back on the horse

Today I'm finally feeling up to showing my face (and not as much of my bum) in public, so I'm toying with the idea of going to knit night at my local purveyor of fine yarns and woolly goods this evening. Boy genius just started his new work schedule, so he's working till 7 pm and on his own for dinner (Cocoa Pebbles anyone?).

I've been in a nesting/hibernating phase of late, which I attribute to the first nip of fall in the air, and the tendency to want to stay in and knit an spin something woolly and wonderful to snuggle. Or, it might possibly be the stack of library books that I have been burying myself under since the urge to read has been hitting me-mostly fiction, but I've been checking out some spinning guides and informational knitting books....but then again, it could be a simple as the fact that I am slowly turning into a feral, pale, hobbit of a woman from sitting in this basement at work all day.

(I'm voting hobbit. I can feel my feet growing already.)

Time to go have some fun with my fellow fiber heads before I forget what its like to act like a normal girl who doesn't spend days accidentally flashing her panties at coworkers. Yup, its time to get back on the horse! Time to go and knit fibery things in the company of strangers! Time to buy more fluff so I can make more fibery things that I can knit in the compant of strangers! Time to make friends and influence people while buying and knitting fibery things in the company of stangers while riding a horse with a hobbit! (Don't worry, I'm confused too.)

Time to shut up and drive to the yarn store. Have a great weekend!
