I had big plans to knit over my lunch break but it didn't happen. I was foiled, like the worst comic book super villain.
Don't you hate it when work gets in the way of your knitting? I know I do.
Although its true that I have the socks to work on, (and they are calling my name big and bad) I think I'm still going to have to stop at a yarn shop on the way home. This is my last skein of sock yarn. I've also been eyeballing the DK weight alpaca that I want to get for that lace hug me tight that I talked about a few posts back.
If I bust my tail I can totally get that bad boy started & finished before I leave for Peru. I can't think of anything more fitting and generally awesome to wear on the the plane than something made of alpaca. In my super rationalizing brain, I could even say that I was talking the alpaca back home for a visit. Yeah, so I would totally be doing the yarn a favor...doing it for the yarn.(yeah, I know its crazy talk.) Now my rational brain knows this is a totally BS argument. My yarn craving "Gee, it just happens to be payday" brain says "Who cares that its a BS argument! BUY THE YARN!!!!".
So, just to sum up the day so far...I have posted causing mental images of Johnny Depp in melting butter (No need to thank me...just a gift for you loyal readers out there. If the Depp does not do it for you, please feel free to substitute him with your celebrity of choice.) and tried to rationalize yarn purchase with the argument that I would be taking it home for a visit.
Wow. Sometimes I baffle even myself.

(Sorry, that's all I've got. But yeah. Johnny Depp? Melted butter? Interesting.)
