I know it has been a while since my last post, but alas, life has been full of far more drama than knitting, and thus, not so much fun to write about.
The short telling of the story (minus gory details) ends up with the purchase of my wheel on hold for the good of the team, but like waiting for Christmas, I do believe that sometimes the wait makes the arrival of things even better. Good stuff on the horizon, even if the horizon was a bit longer than I had originally hoped...plus it gives a girl a little more time to try to knit through a bit more of the monster stash before being able to spin more stash on my own.
I'm inching along on my minimalist cardigan, probably 5" up the back side at this point, but I realize that its not a project that I can work on when I'm frustrated, it helps for me to keep a pair of socks going anyway as the mindless/travel knit so I can pick those up instead.
I've been a bit surprised at myself because I always assumed that I would be a one at a time project kind of girl, but I really do enjoy having a few going at once so I can work on the one that best suits the mood of the moment. Some days you can't wait for the challenge of a crazy lacy pattern, and other days, boy, just give me 15 miles of stockinette cause my brain needs a rest and my hands want to fly! Being able to shift gears like that is a great thing. It's like having just the right kind of treat.
Well, I'm off to tuck in for the night. Sweetest of dreams.
