Well, you can now count me among the sock knitters club. I have finished my first pair! This was greeted with much adulation and fan fair...(if you count my own and the imaginary enthusiasm of my cat- lets just face it...the shmoo doesn't get too excited about anything that she can't eat or doesn't have feathers attached to it)...
The boy couldn't have been too pumped when I woke him up at 2 am to show off my fine knittin' :) but he did muster a good show of enthusiasm for someone who was jet lagged and half asleep.
I love me some socks! Hand knit socks are now on my list of things that eveyone needs to experience. They are just too good for words.
I have decided that I should learn how to spin before dropping the cash on my wheel, so I signed up spinning classes for the next three fridays.I'm thinking this is just postponing the inevitable, the lure of the fiber is strong. but it gives me more time to decide between stains, and it give me the peace of mind to know that I will be able to spin as soon as I get it put togeather and stained.This is exciting stuff, but I'm still having a hard time deciding on a stain... How many more hours can I spend in the stain department at Lowes?
