The Home Stretch

I'm finally closing in on the finish line on my hand spun feather and fan shawl, and it makes me realize just how terribly impatient I can get. I have to grit my teeth and press on. I have the compulsion to call it a day when I get this close to the end, and I'm not quite sure what that's all about...

Unless unforeseen circumstances arise, I'm thinking I can have it finished this evening- (and when I say finished, I mean to an actual length that it should be instead of the "Crap! Can't you be finished already!" length it would be if I just stopped when I originally felt like it).

Once I'm done I'll see if I can't swindle a pic on the digital camera from work so you can see what it looks like (fingers crossed).

On notes other than knitting, I have been in a state of transportational turmoil as of late, when a "simple car repair" has ended up with my car being towed to a second shop and having the entire engine removed to attempt to fix the damage wrought by the first "repair".

No fun, but its just a minor annoyance that has garnered a new level of respect for Boy Genius, since he has been the bad cop to my good one, and he has taken care of the situation swimmingly by organizing all of this junk..and believe me, there was a bunch to take care of. I should get more of an update on how messed up things truly are a bit later on today (fingers and toes crossed for good measure).

So have you all gotten out there to vote? Do your civic duty kids. Besides, you can knit while you wait in line. What a great reason to knit in public!

Happy election day!
