Emergency Room Knitting

Been a while since my last post, but its been an exciting few days...but only halfway in a good way. For a good portion of the last week the boy genius has been all hive covered and 'swole up like a puffer fish due to a little ole mystery allergy problem picked up on his trip to sunny California.

(Yay! for portable sock knitting in the emergency waiting room! It pays to keep a project in your purse. )

A few massive doses of steroids and some benadryl later, he is getting back to his normal, handsome self, and I can tell he's feeling better because he's making jokes about taking advantage of the steroids so he can "work on his guns".

The spinning is coming along slowly, I think I realized that I was sitting in the wrong kind of chair, and it was throwing off my Mojo (um, yeah...it HAS to be the chair, not my extreme lack of experience or anything of the sort.) But I'm really looking forward to my next spinning class this Friday when I get to actually try spinning on a wheel and not just the drop spindle. My hands are itchy just thinking about it!

I need to do a bit more research into different drafting styles, I think it would be terribly helpful to aid in my spinning consistency.

I ordered some roving from Copperpot Woolies off Etsy this afternoon. I figured that I had best start bulking up the spinning stash before the Kromski shows up at the house. And 'cause the wool is just soooo preeeeeety. I wanted it to live at my house.
